How to Submit a Dose Adjustment Request
All dose changes. Increases, decreases, or pauses. Are handled through our customer service chat. Follow these steps:
Step 1: Open a Customer Service Chat from goodguyrx.com or your Patient Portal.
Step 2: Select "Adjust My Dose" from the menu options.
Step 3: Follow the chat instructions. You'll be asked to provide:
Your current medication and dose
The change you're requesting (increase, decrease, or pause)
Your current height and weight
How long you've been on your current dose
How you're tolerating it (side effects, symptoms, overall progress)
The specific dose you'd like to move to (example: "I'd like to increase from 6.0mg to 7.5mg")
Step 4: Your request will be forwarded to your licensed provider for clinical review.
Tip: The more detail you share, the faster your provider can make a decision.
What Happens After You Submit
Step | Timeline |
Provider review | 24–48 business hours |
Approval confirmation | Delivered via Patient Portal |
Updated dose applies to | Your next scheduled shipment |
Please note:
Not all adjustment requests are approved. Your provider will make the best clinical decision based on your health profile and progress.
Do not adjust your dose on your own. All changes must be reviewed and approved by your provider.
Changes apply to your next shipment only. We cannot modify orders already in progress.
Please do not submit duplicate requests while your review is in progress. Duplicates can delay processing.
Plans That Do NOT Qualify for Dose Increases
Dose increases are not available on certain treatment plan types. If you're on any of the plans below, your provider cannot approve a dose increase within your current plan.
Plan Type | Why No Dose Increase? |
Microdose Plans (Semaglutide or Tirzepatide Microdose) | Microdose plans follow a separate clinical protocol designed to deliver a low, steady dose. They are not structured for titration or dose escalation. |
Titration Plans (already on a scheduled titration path) | Titration plans have a pre-set escalation schedule built in. Your dose increases automatically at defined intervals. No separate request is needed. |
Oral Drops (Semaglutide/Tirzepatide ODT) | Oral formulations follow a fixed dosing protocol and are not eligible for escalation within the same plan. |
Oral Tablets (Semaglutide/Tirzepatide Tablets) | Tablet dosing is standardized by formulation strength. Moving to a different strength requires a new intake and prescription. |
What to Do If You Want a Higher Dose on One of These Plans
You have two options:
Option 1: Let your current plan run out → Once your current plan is complete, start a new intake for a standard injectable Semaglutide or Tirzepatide plan (not a Maintenance plan) at care.goodguyrx.com/start-online-visit/weight-loss.
Option 2: Cancel your current plan now → Log into your Patient Portal at my.goodguyrx.com, navigate to Account Settings, and cancel your current plan. Then complete a new intake for a standard injectable plan at care.goodguyrx.com/start-online-visit/weight-loss.
⚠️ Refunds are not available for unused portions of your current plan or medication. Per state and federal pharmacy regulations, all prescription medication sales are final once dispensed and shipped.
Switching Medications (Semaglutide ↔ Tirzepatide)
Switching from one medication to another requires completing an entirely new intake. Your current subscription does not transfer.
Step 1: Visit care.goodguyrx.com/start-online-visit/weight-loss to begin a new intake for your desired medication.
Step 2: Complete the full medical questionnaire for the new medication.
Step 3: A licensed provider will review your new intake and determine whether the switch is clinically appropriate. A brief follow-up evaluation may be required.
Step 4: Cancel your current subscription through your Patient Portal at my.goodguyrx.com before your next billing cycle to avoid overlapping charges.
⚠️ There are no refunds for unused months or products on your current plan. Prescription medications cannot be returned or refunded once dispensed, per state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Managing Refills When Your Dose Changes
When your dose is adjusted, it may affect how quickly you use your current supply:
If your dose increases, you may use your current medication faster than expected. You can place an early refill request through your Patient Portal to keep your supply aligned with your new dose.
If your dose decreases or is paused, your existing supply will last longer. Your next shipment timing may shift accordingly.
Already-shipped prescriptions cannot be changed, so planning ahead is essential.
Quarterly plans: Standard adjustments align with your next quarterly shipment. Mid-cycle adjustments may be approved by your provider if medically necessary.
